- ASSOCIATION FOR PAYMENT CLEARING SERVICES
- (APACS) (Ассоциация систем клиринговых платежей) Ассоциация, учрежденная британскими банками в 1985 г. для координации клиринговых платежей и международных переводов денежных средств в Великобритании. Под эгидой Ассоциации действуют три операционных компании: “БАКС Лтд.”, которая обеспечивает автоматическое обслуживание межбанковских клиринговых систем в Великобритании; “Чек энд Кредит Клиринг Ко. Лтд.”, специализирующаяся на межбанковском чековом расчете и кредитном клиринге; и “ЧЭПС энд Таун Клиринг”, которая обеспечивает осуществление электронных платежей и однодневных (т.е. в тот же день) клиринговых платежей по чекам, выписанным на большую сумму. Кроме того, существует компания “ЭфтПос ЮКЛтд.”, которая оперируете электронными платежами через систему расчетно-кассовых аппаратов в торговых точках. Ассоциация наблюдает также за Лондонской системой клиринговых расчетов в долларах и Лондонской системой валютных платежей и за системами оплаты чековых карточек и еврочеков (eurocheque) в Великобритании.
